Description of Arran accommodation-Hamilton Cottages: Jim and Kate Mackintosh are delighted to present our self catering holiday cottages on the beautiful Isle of Arran. Rosa Cottage and Shurig Cottage and Shepherd's Cottage have recently been renovated from old outbuildings with an interesting history into holiday cottages with lots of character and more than a hint of luxury. The cottages have lovely views across open countryside to the hills beyond. They are finished and equipped to the highest standard for self catering. Rosa and Shurig Cottages share a large enclosed private garden and Shepherd's Cottage has its own patio garden. We have an acre of woodland and spacious private off road parking.

Rosa Cottage is our smaller cottage and is suitable for a party of up to four people. The cottage has a spacious open plan layout. From the living room, French doors lead onto the garden via a decked patio. Also off the living room there is a modern, well equipped kitchen and a downstairs toilet/shower room. On the upper floor there are two bedrooms, one king size double and one twin. The upper floor also has the main bathroom with bath and another shower.

Shurig Cottage provides accommodation for a party of up to six persons. The cottage has a very spacious layout, There is a large living room which includes a dining area which easily seats eight. Also downstairs there is a modern well equipped kitchen and the second toilet/shower room.

On the upper floor there are three bedrooms, one king size double and two twins and the the main bathroom/shower room.

We are delighted to introduce our new cottage which has recently been completed (July 2009) after an extensive conversion. Shepherd’s Cottage is finished and equipped to meet the most discerning of tastes.

The cottage has a spacious living room and dining room separated by a central feature fireplace. Also downstairs there is second cloakroom toilet and a modern and extremely well equipped kitchen. The cottage is full of character and has a beautiful double height hall with a feature spiral stair to the upper floor which gives a wonderful feeling of space. Upstairs the cottage has two large double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a bath/shower room to suit a party of up to six. Being on the other side of the building, the cottage is separated from our main garden but as an added feature it has it’s own pergola covered patio garden.

All of our cottages have Satellite TV, HiFi,DVD, Fully equipped kitchen with dishwashers, WiFi Broadband internet access.

Also onsite we have a laundry and outdoor clothes drying room, covered bike storage and large safe car park.
