Description of Bower Old Free Church Manse: Historic Highland Accommodation…

The Bower Old Free Church Manse offers superb B&B accommodation within our beautiful Georgian Manse.

The accommodation is situated centrally in the heart of Caithness, making it an ideal base for exploring the county. The tiny settlement of Brabsterdorran is surrounded by fabulous scenery no matter what the season, affording panoramic views of rolling countryside, Lochs and Mountains. It really is a spectacular place to spend your days.

The house itself was built in 1844. Set within lovely established gardens, and surrounded by large Sycamore trees, it has seen many respected and colourful characters as residents over the years, and even has a tale to tell with regards the famous author J.M .Barrie. Its stories led it to be recently featured in the BBC Scotland’s, ‘A House with a Past’ Show, but you can find out more on your arrival!

We look forward to having you stay!
