Description of Highly Recommended Family Holiday Home in Wick: Please consider booking our lovely holiday home for your visit to the Highlands. The house is a traditional terraced property in a nice quiet street, but central for all the visitor attractions, shops, restaurants and childrens play park.
The house was carefully renovated to offer all modern facilities but retain the charm of an old fashioned home.
The front vestibule leads onto a nice Lounge (Sky TV & Broadband); and also to a charming single bedroom which is perfect for anyone who does not wish to climb the stairs or wants to be slightly more independent. A hallway leads off these two rooms giving access to walk in shower room (disabled friendly) and also the fully equipped kitchen, which has its own dining area. The kitchen provides access to the garden and patio area. All the rooms on the ground floor are level access so suit most ages and abilities so why not bring granny on holiday too... Upstairs there are three bedrooms, a beautiful master bedroom with its own en-suite and two single bedrooms (one can be made up as a twin bedroom). The house comfortably sleeps six people and cutlery, chinaware, glassware etc is provided for up to eight so you can entertain.
The house is lovely and warm, hot water and heating is provided by the gas combination boiler. All holiday bookings are priced to include all your Gas and Electricity, all bedding and freshly laundered towels.
There should always be one of the family who can be contacted if you need assistance at any time, be it for additional towels or directions for somewhere you wish to visit.
If you are travelling by public transport one of the family can meet you from the plan, bus or train and help you with your luggage and get you safely delivered to your holiday home. This is a courtesy to get your holiday off to a good start. We do our best to ensure that there is a good hot cup of tea waiting for you when you arrive and usually a little treat.
There is a small enclosed garden so you can sit out and listen to the birds singing when the weather is fine and the kiddies can run around. There are loads of places to visit and things you can do when you base yourselves at The Corner Town House and we are always delighted to help by way of suggestions of day trips and places to visit en route, we have maps and leaflets etc so you can leisurely decide how much or how little you wish to do while on holiday. There is a bus stop just at your front door so you need not take the car out if you just want a quick trip to the street and the train station is just a short walk and many visitors try a short trip, or if you wish to be more adventurous you can enjoy a boat trip along the coast or even a day out to the Orkney Islands. If you are thinking of doing some family research then we would love to hear how you get on and it may be can help out as required. It is not unknown for us to end up enjoying an afternoon touring the cemeteries looking for gravestones and clues for our visitors. If you have any special requests just let us know and we will do our best to help if we can. Also if you plan to travel with other friends and family we do have other properties if the house is not big enough, although it is one of the few in the county with four bedrooms so it is very popular so please check early when planning a visit.
Any green fingered visitors are made very welcome - our gardening skills are non existent - so we do encourage weeding if you feel the need!
A small information pack has been put together on the house and the area so please request this and let us help you plan your own unique holiday in Wick.
