Description of Magnolia House: Our late Georgian family guest house (circa 1830) offers first class bed and breakfast accommodation, set in a quiet residential street just ten minutes stroll from Canterbury city centre with its magnificent cathedral and many places of historic interest. It is ideally situated for exploring the city, coastline or the beautiful Kent countryside and is an ideal location for short breaks, long weekends or business trips.All of the hotel bedrooms have been professionally designed to a high standard, offering either single, twin, double, queen or king-sized beds. All rooms have en-suite facilities, with either a bath and shower room, or en-suite shower room. The Garden Room has a queen-sized four poster bed and spacious bathroom. It is situated on the ground floor and is ideal for that special occasion. Magnolia House is not licensed, but you are welcome to bring your own drinks - corkscrews, ice and chillers can all be provided. It is a strictly non smoking hotel.Magnolia House has full wireless internet facilities, so as long as you have a wireless network card in your laptop, you can access the internet whenever you like.A full and varied breakfast caters for all diets and is a feature of your stay. Fresh local produce is used wherever possible. Enjoy choosing from a range of fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals and juices, followed by the breakfast of your choice, either a traditional English breakfast or perhaps fish or a continental breakfast, plenty of fresh coffee, tea or speciality teas, all served overlooking the attractive walled garden. Guests have their own keys and free access throughout the day to their rooms and the guest sitting room, which is well stocked with books, magazines, board games and tourist information. There is an extensive range of sample menus from the excellent local restaurants, all within walking distance. We will happily make reservations to the theatre, restaurants and other visitor and historic attractions for you.
