Description of The School House B & B: The School House is an old Victorian Village School in a small village, Thorganby, just 10 miles south of the historic City of York.We want to welcome you into our home not so much as a guest paying for a room, more like a member of our family.The Village of Thorganby is an old village of just a couple of hundred inhabitants. Less than 5 minutes walk down a tiny lane towards the river Derwent we have a CAMRA recommended local pub, The Ferryboat Inn.Half a mile away you can visit a world renowned Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) an expanse of wetlands inhabited by thousands of birds, both waders and various waterfowl.
