Description of Two Hoots Cottage: 
Two Hoots set in the delightful County of Rutland a beautifully furnished, newly converted stone barn open August 2009. Furnished in contemporary country style by a local interior design company. It is a haven of calm colours, light and spacious with design touches and attention to detail to make your stay thoroughly enjoyable.
A fantastic open plan living space with large vaulted ceilings and painted beams, separate lounge area with windows to the apex ceiling level and double doors onto west facing private courtyard garden. Bespoke oak staircase and flooring to galleried twin bedroom, further double ground floor bedroom adjacent to well planned wet room. TV/DVD with free sat, Ipod dock and radio is also provided
We always supply a bottle of wine, fresh flowers and a breakfast hamper for the arrival of every guest. The holiday cottage has luxury under floor heating throughout and an Aga wood burner for added comfort in the winter evenings.
Two Hoots is in an ideal location to explore the riches of Rutland Water, just a few minutes walk away from the cottage and the surrounding countryside. A 10 minute drive away is the beautiful Georgian stone town of Stamford with shops, pubs and restaurants, the Elizabethan House of Burghley which is open to the public and where the Burghley Horse Trials are held every September. Less than a 10 minute drive is the picturesque town of Oakham with lovely shops and restaurants with twice weekly markets.

Rutland has two picturesque, stone built market towns, Oakham and Uppingham just a short drive away, well known for their public schools. They both have supermarkets as well as lovely gift and antique shops, a selection cafes and inns with good restaurants. Both towns have weekly markets. There is also a train station in Oakham with links to Melton Mowbray, Leicester, Birmingham Peterborough and Stanstead Airport.
