The house is located on the Rosneath Peninsula, close to the A817 with easy connections to the A82, Loch Lomond, Luss & The Trossachs National Park. We will help make your stay memorable, offering you a wealth of home cooked food a quality breakfast, Evening meals, Packed Lunches, Afternoon Tea and Cake are available on request, with dietary needs catered for, so please do not hesitate to ask. Families are very welcome, with cots free of charge. Over the years the house has been comprehensively upgraded to an exacting standard, retaining many features and charm from a bygone era. Built in 1838 by J.Dempster, as a Manse for the Church of Scotland, the house is steeped in history, with many Royal connections. In 1886 the Minister, Dr Story was appointed as Chaplain to Queen Victoria. He retained close connections with the Royal Family and read an address at her funeral. The manses tiled flooring was laid in honour of a visit by Princess Louise, who later married and became the Duchess of Argyll, making her home on the Peninsula. - Rosneath, Nr.
